I just had my surgery yesterday, got 3 back teeth extracted. :/

The surgery part was not bad, I had two pills of Valium which made me less nervous which is awesome since I have moderate anxiety. But there was a drill involved and the sound it made..well…that pretty much wiped out all loopiness I had in my system in a second.

The oral surgeon and the two nurses were so nice, it nearly made me cry. They gave me a blanket cause I was cold, he talked to me the whole time, asking if I was okay. I could hardly talk with everything going on but if I made the slightestsound then BAM! More numbness immediately. They were awesome, and they did great, and I felt very safe the whole time.I also got one dissolvable stitch for each extraction so yay for healing faster too! 

But that aside, I got antibiotics, Percocets, and Motrin which also made me sleepy when I got home so after texting my bestie to let her know it went good, I passed out off and on. I had to have that gauze in my mouth and change it once every hour, then put a cold ice compress on either side of my cheek off and on too so there was not much real sleeping involved. The dentist office called two hours after I got home and checked up on me, then when my mom said I was still bleeding a lot, they told her to switch to tea bags instead of gauze and that did the trick.

So all in all, it went okay, I had mashed potatoes and applesauce and I even got yummy sherbert as well! I am never taking Percocets again though. They make me feel weird, loopy and gassy, and just uneasy..though they work like a charm. I am not in any pain despite the fact that I got three holes in my mouth and I am very grateful about that. Hopefully by tomorrow I can eat regularly and be back fully on my feet!
